Hi, my name is John and my experience has been nothing but positive. I came to Dr. Champion after seeing a number of different weight loss surgeons. I weighed 588 pounds the day I met Dr. Champion and he had me lose, if I could lose 40 pounds, he would do this surgery. Dr. Champion has the skill set and the ability to do the operation and he came extremely highly recommended within the medical community. I am altogether down 252 pounds in just over a year. Stamina has come way back up and the minor health issues that I had has completely gone. I would recommend research and talking to people who have had surgery from Dr. Champion and other doctors and go to support group on a regular basis that means you are following the doctor’s orders and meeting with the people who have been successful and I think you will find that there are numerous numerous more success stories than there are failures. So, there is always risk with any major surgery and this is a major surgery, the Roux-En-Y, is a major surgery but before this surgery there was no way that I could spend a day at Six Flags with my two little girls all day long on my feet and I did that this summer. I had never been able to do that before that alone is worth any discomfort that I went through.
